1666 - The Great Fire

Pearl Class loved every moment about learning about The Great Fire of London. We started our learning by finding some items left in our classroom. We used our inference skills to mind map our ideas about what they were, where they came from and what our learning could be about this half term. We used our drama techniques to retell the story of Toby adn the Great Fire of london.
They used technology to go back in time and speak to Samuel Pepys, created maps of how the fire spread and even learnt about fire safety.
We celebrated our fantastic finish by making bread from scratch just like Thomas did in the bakery on Pudding lane. We baked it in the oven and used our fire safety knowledge to make sure we had no fires in school.
