In Pre-School & Nursery we build upon the children’s ideas and interests, responding in the moment or through planned experiences to support each child’s learning and development. 

We have a strong focus on the Prime Areas of Learning: Communication & Language, Personal, Social, Emotional and Physical development. Other areas of the curriculum are also covered throughout the year.  

We take every opportunity to follow the children’s interests. In addition to this, we have four themes which repeatedly reoccur throughout the year, ensuring the children have a broad and balanced curriculum.  

The four themes are: 

• I am special, I am ME (Themselves, family, friends, feelings) 
• My world (Animals, where we live, in the garden, growing, weather etc) 
• Let’s celebrate- We celebrate many different religious festivals and cultural events throughout the year 
• The Seasons- We develop a love of nature and explore the changes in the seasons during the year
