Autumn Learning
Date: 26th Jan 2024 @ 3:07pm
We began our learning journey by sharing information about ourselves. We brought in special items from home which we discussed and shared with our friends.
We loved exploring Autumn and the different seasonal changes. We went on an Autumnal walk and created 'rainbow prints' with the leaves we had collected. We baked our own Apple crumble with the apples from our apple tree. We explored different Autumnal items like pumpkins. We enjoyed exploring the insides of the pumpkins and talking about what we could feel and see.
We then enjoyed all of the different festivals that took place in Autumn. Our favourite was 'Bonfire Night' as we made our own chocolate apples.
We also made our own firework patterns.
We also enjoyed celebrating Diwali. We made our own diva lamps by moulding them with clay.
We even went on a local environment walk to look for signs and symbols. It led us to Tesco- it was so exciting! We even bought some biscuits as a little treat.
We finished the Autumn term with a fantastic production of the christmas story 'The Nativity'. We were so proud of all the children and their wonderful, confident performances.
