Curriculum Week

Reception were inspired by the artist Sharon Cummings. Sharon Cummings creates art using lots of colour and shapes.

We looked at her artwork and noticed that she uses lots of dots and circles and were inspired to create work similar.

We created art using different objects on the lightbox.

We worked together and created art using the peg board.

We used different objects and techniques to create round shapes like bottle lids, cotton buds, pom poms, buttons and our fingers.

As it was Chinese New Year we discussed how red is used as it is a lucky colour so we decided to incorporate red into our artwork.

We had lots of fun creating our artwork and exploring different techniques and our teachers are very proud of our amazing work!
