Easter Baking

We had a fantastic end to our Spring Term with some Easter baking!

We enjoyed learning all about Easter and why people celebrate it, we read some Easter stories and decorated our own Easter eggs. 

We then decided to make some Easter egg cakes as a treat!

First, we melted the chocolate in a bowl using a pan of hot water and a bowl on top. We carefully stirred the chocolate so that it didnt stick to the sides and made sure we didnt touch the pan as it was hot!

Then, we poured in some cornflakes. We each had a turn at mixing the cornflakes and the chocolate together until all of the cornflakes were covered in chocolate. 

After that, we scooped the mixture into the cake cases. 

Finally, we decorated our cakes with some chocolate eggs. 

We were so excited to eat our yummy cakes as a special Easter treat!
