Our trip to Manchester Airport

This week Reception have had a fantastic time visiting Manchester Airport as part of our learning all about transport!

We saw a special plane called 'Concorde' that is very big and has a long nose which helps it to fly very fast. We stood next to the wheels and they were bigger than us!

After that, we saw a small plane called RJX and we learnt all about how planes take off and the different parts of a plane that help it to fly. 

Then, we went on a real plane and we sat in the pilots seat and pretended to fly a real plane! 

We learnt all about the different jobs people do at an airport and dressed up. 

We had the best time on our trip and our teachers were so impressed with us. We were very tired on the bus home after a long but exciting day.
